MCM’s Premier Financial Insights Summit will present the whole University of St Andrews with the unique opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals spanning across various financial industries. Taking place from 1-5 pm at the prestigious Hotel Du Vin in the heart of the town, the conference will include a multitude of guest panels, educational workshops, and networking opportunities. We are thrilled to have Dirk Albersmeier, Managing Director of M&A at JP Morgan Global, as our keynote speaker, alongside executives from McKinsey & Co. Other panels have been delegated to partnered societies, such as Women in Business and the St Andrews Africa Summit, to provide the widest array of perspectives, cultures, and identities, catered specifically for our diverse student body.

Yvonne Ike
Yvonne Ike, currently the Managing Director at Bank of America since September 2014, brings over two decades of financial services experience to her role. A seasoned investment banker, Ike's expertise encompasses capital market operations, including fixed income, derivatives, and equities, with a significant track record in the Nigerian and broader African markets. Her tenure at JPMorgan from August 1994 to July 2009 was marked by pioneering transactions that expanded the Nigerian financial landscape.
Cédric du Monceau, born in 1956 in Brussels, is a distinguished professional with a robust background in economics and international finance, educated at Atlantic College, UCLouvain, and Yale University. His career encompasses pivotal roles in European monetary policy development and strategic corporate consulting at McKinsey & Co., leading to significant mergers and market expansions. As the General Director of WWF France from 2000 to 2006, he successfully enhanced the organization's profile and influence in environmental advocacy. Du Monceau has also served in public office as the first alderman of Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, with a focus on urban planning, economic affairs, and environmental sustainability.

Jean is a distinguished figure in the business and investment world, with a rich history of success that includes founding and leading a $200M+ business in China for 16 years, culminating in its sale to a listed company in 2013. Now at the helm of Bleu Capital, his Family Office, Jean actively invests in and advises companies across stages from Seed to Series D, with a keen focus on the Impact, Commerce, and Retail sectors. His leadership extends to serving as the President of the Board of L'Investors Club of FrenchFounders and holding board memberships in various non-profits, reflecting his commitment to ethical investment and social impact. Jean's track record and strategic insight make him a valuable asset in the global business landscape.
Alex Phelan is a Vice President at Citi, specializing in Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory Communications in New York. Her role capitalizes on her extensive experience in the finance sector, including a significant tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she played a crucial role in executing key processes and supporting media relations. With a solid educational foundation in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and advanced training in journalism from Columbia University, Alex adeptly bridges the worlds of finance and communication. Her background in journalism, combined with her hands-on experience in finance, makes her a valuable asset in the ever-evolving world of banking and markets communications.
